Yeah there are- you need a wet suit this time of year and perhaps a psychiatric examination (we even have surfing out at long beach on Vancouver Island). The diving is pretty amazing too- perhaps on par with some barrier reefs (problem is you need to wear six tonnes of gear to stay warm). Still my apistos seem to like it here.
