SA Dwarfs and discus?

Does anyone out there have any experience keeping Discus with apisto's?  I
have a heavily planted (amano style) 68 gallon tank (2'x2'x3').  Currently I
have four pidgeon blood discus, a shoal of cardinals, eight sae's and a
green dwarf pike.  I'd really like to add a pair of A. Nijsenni or
Panduro/pandurini's, but I'm worried that they may start to get abusive if
they ever try to spawn.  Am I being a wuss?  Will nijsenni's attack  6"
discus, and if so, will the discus care?

P.S. Some relevant info:

Temp; 81 F
PH: 6.8, (via 5# co2tank, solonoid, ph probe)
Nitrates, >1ppm
KH & GH around 2-3 degrees.
fluval 303

Lots of nooks, crannys and tennellus to hide in.
