You don't have to keep it at 80f to get it to hatch; it will just take a
little longer at a lower temp. I usually sit my BBS container on top of a
tank which I suppose is about 70f. At this temp it still seems to hatch in
about 24 hours. An alternative is to hatch it in a jar which you sit inside
the an aquarium with the water at 80f.
