Hi Gabriella,
I usually feed one or two times with live bbs, then switch to
decapsulated swished in water and squirted
 with a turkey baster. I've raised half a dozen species with equal
results to what live bbs gave me. I find if I squirt it into java moss
(okay, or hair algae...) the fry will spend more time picking though
that specific clump. There's no feeding frenzy as you have with live
bbs, but the stuff gets eaten. They get those little orange
brine-bellies.
