hi all, if you are in the nyc area, you should make a trip to the new york aquarium on coney island. they have a small exhibit (about 5-6 tanks) of seahorses, and they are phenomenal. there are tiny dwarf seahorses, no bigger than 1" (2.5 cm), and then there are the fantastic weedy and leafy seadragons from australia, with those fantastic appendages and colors. also, in the discovery center, there's a great tank with fantastic rainbows housed with very rare cichlid from madagascar. however, it's so sad to see that the ny aquarium is so badly maintained. many empty exhibits and many outdated plaques identifying fish. tsuh yang chen, nyc, USA ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is the apistogramma mailing list, apisto@listbox.com.
