H. cristatus are such avid eaters you can HEAR them eat. It was a subject
of great joking in my house. As such, they generate a lot of waste that
plants are avid to consume. They don't bother plants themselves. Use
fast growing plants like water sprite and duckweed or frogbit. Enjoy!
