RE: power filters - another question



Any of those filters which use an intake stem can be fixed up to prevent fry
from being filtered.
Simply buy a sponge insert for one of those little Fluvals (round sponge
with hole down centre) and slip it over the end of your intake tube.
However, make certain that you have the bottom resting firmly against your
substrate, this will ensure that they don't go up through the bottom of the
sponge. If your stem does not reach, buy another intake stem of the same
size and stick it on the end of the existing one to lengthen it.
