growth?

hi all,
i have been noticing that my male orange flash a. cacatoides had a smal, 
strange bump on his "chin", just below his big lower lip.  this morning i 
noticed that it had turned black.  it looks kinda like cyndi crawford's mole 
;)  but anyways, is this thing some sort of disease?  i have never read 
of/encountered/heard of a bumpy mole-like disease.  or is it just some sort 
of growth?  could it be a fish tumor, as i have seen other fish develop?  
any help would be appreciated, thanks!
