I use one tablespoon per quart.  My prefered set-up is 1 1/2 quarts of water 
in a two-liter bottle with 1 1/2 tbsp of regular table salt.  I used to 
insist on de-ionized, but that requirement appears to be another one of those 
rumors that somehow becomes "gospel" in this hobby.
