This highlights the importance of Mike's list and the role that serious hobbyists play in keeping the species separate and in educating the hobby.  The hybrids may be pretty to look at and you and I understand that they will be bachelors forever.  But what about the neophyte hobbyist, the young newbies who pick these up with aspirations in breeding a beautiful cichlid?  They will quickly lose interest and may never return.  What a difference a little knowledge makes. 

Apparently, the LFS doesn't have a clue or doesn't care.  That's a big difference from the way I was treated as a teenager when I would visit my LFS and spend hours just looking and learning, even when I wasn't buying (small allowance).
