Sure was. Thanks much for the confirmation and "heads up" info.

This particular tank doesn't have much in the way of porous materials in it,
and the substrate is my usual fine sand. I have removed another 3/4-inch
layer, pulling about an inch total and replaced it with fresh. And I've
continued with almost complete change- outs through today. I'm going to give
it a go from here and see what happens.

But what to do with the waste is already a moot point ;-)

The Pertensis and Pandas have been moved to another tank. I left the Red
Minors in since they're _relatively_ expendable and have survived exposure.
I put a single MacMasteri male in as a sensitivity gage, and some C. julii
in for cats.

I _will_ have to get another couple pairs of Rams, though. I guess the
excitement was too much for 'em.

But I gotta admit - as good as this tank really looks, I'm extremeley
reluctant to have to tear it down. Some of these plants would give me major
headaches if I were to try to reestablish them in time for this year's
competition.

Last year, I only _showcased_ a tank because I was part of the organizing
committee. I even left the filters and heater in so as to "lock out" any
hope of winning (a point which one of the judges was kind enough to make
mention of, so I know the effort wasn't wasted ;-) )

This year I don't plan to sit around and merely watch. Frode may be able to
edge me out on a Dutch tank, but I haven't seen anything near my Amanos yet.
I may have a chance if I can get in before the field's too wide open and the
real pros show up :-)...
