Nile Virus and mosquito larvae

Coming from the Midwest, I eagerly feed mosquito larvae.  But I know of one
aquarist in the East who is no longer going to harvest and feed them to his fish
because of the Nile Virus that is speading through mosquitos.  Perhaps the hobby
needs an expert who can explain the risk.
