RE: Nile Virus and mosquito larvae
Issues of fish safety aside (are there any other?), the often overriding
concern here in the East is the spread of West Nile Virus (especially to
humans). Any standing water outside that may facilitate mosquito breeding
is discouraged and even legislated against in some counties.
