Wow, what a day!

I finally managed to get me some Nijsenni. Not just a
couple, but 6, 2 males and 4 females. I’d known
that I was going to have them for a couple of weeks
(since they’d been in the shop, just waiting
for pay-day:-)). Anyway, before I went to collect
them, I went to another not-so-LFS and found some
Pandurini! Yeeehaaa! I’ve been looking for
Pandurini with diminishing hope for around about the
past year. Not only that, but they cost me 1400ptas
(=A35 - $7), considerably less than I’d expected
to pay. I had previously told the owner that
I’d pay what he asked! Unfortunately they had 3
males (I think, they were quite difficult to I.D. for
sure, I was pretty certain with the fem.) and 1
female, but I’ve got an order in for more
females. The one I have is already guarding a coconut
shell and showing bright yellow.
Anyway, while in the same shop I noticed that they
had some Aggie females. Nothing unusual about that?
Well, here it’s proven to be a major headache
finding anybody with fem. Aggies, if they have them
,they’ll only sell them as pairs. I also knew
that the shop with the Nijsennis had a beautiful
Aggie male, so the fems went in another bag.
Sooooo, I continue my browsing around the tanks and
there’s these cacatoos looking at me (1 male, 3
fems) as if to say, what about us? Such pretty fish
don’t deserve to die at the hands of some
inexperienced 12 year old school kid (with apologies
to 12 year olds...), guess what, I’ve got three
cacatoo females turning a very nice yellow as well.
On top of that I got another MH lighting set-up for
dirt cheap money at a nearby shop, and Sat. was
looking great.
So I went to get the Nijsennis and the male Aggie.
(along with some other fish and some shrimps) Got
them into their respective tanks and so far no-one
has died(That may not be such a big thing for you,
but I normally find I lose one or two fish the day
after when I’ve bought something in the region
of 40 fish – ottos, ancistrus, plecos, mollies
etc included!) I’ve got the Aggies in with the
Nijsenni. I was expecting the Aggies to end up
battered, and was prepared to move them, in fact, the
reverse has happened and I’m thinking of moving
the Aggies to protect the Nijsennis.
Anyway , I got home and then went house hunting,
looks like I might have caught the perfect house,
lots of room, private well, opposite the local
swimming pool:-).
Unfortunately as a result of all this activity, I
missed the opportunity to go round the Barcelona
aquarium and see all the installationsL
Sorry for the long post, I tried to keep it as brief
as possible.
