Hello All I didnt think anything outside of my aggies seemed interested in spawning in this outrageous heat, but low and behold, i noticed last night my group of Nanacara Taenia, that i picked up at the ACA, had different areas of the tank to hang out in. I noticed that one female had taken on that nice dark checkerboard pattern, of a brooding female. Looking a little closer, i saw about 15 or so free swimming fry, not only had they spawned, but now had free swimming fry. Guess with all the floating plants and flower pots , i hadnt even noticed they had spawned. Must have been the hormones in the water, because while looking at the brooding female, i noticed that my male betta Edithae was holding too. I used the tank originally for a quarantine tank for both the trio of Betta Edithae and the group of Nanacara Taenia. Now at least i know what i can sucessfully keep together without any deaths!
