Ok..here's my 2 cent on this subject. Spawned my Nijsseni in a 20 GL long. Two males and three females. 3 rino caves and 3 broken flower pots, java moss and some java fern. 80 degree water ( I agree with John that they seem to like it better at this higher temperature. Water was straight from the tap. (7.1 pH and 160 microscemen). Dominant male spawned with dominant female and the rest hid!! Both parents took care of the fry, but when the female came out with her second batch of fry she killed almost all of the older fry. Fed them the same as John.. but no "color bits", I have my own paste food. Oh, fed the fry BBS / microworms than moved them to my paste food ( liquefied ).
