I am breeding both species at this time.   If you want to send me pic
i'll tell you what you have.

Female N.  Anomala have checker board pattern with very thick lateral
line down the body.   Female Nanacara will have a grey brown color to
them.    Turning black when in spawning mood

Female Cacatuoides will be yellowish in color.   Have a distinctive
black bar under their chin.   Lower lip should show this black bar.
Also female cacatuoides will show one lateral line down the body and
sometimes three little lines just above the anal fin.
