Frozen foods should be just fine. Try Frozen Red Mosquitolarvae
(also called Bloodworms?), frozen Brine Shrimp or any of the small
"crustaceans" - Daphnia, Cyclops. BBS (newly hatched baby brine
shrimp) will work fine as a live food even for adult Apistos when
you get that going - which you will need if you get fry.
