I've lived in Denver for over 20 years. Colorado is a desert when it comes to
unusual fish, unfortunately, but there are a few places that have apistos
that I can recommend. Try Coco Island Aquatics, Golden Fish (not Golden Pet),
as well as Catfish Charlies in Louisville & Nautilus Aquarium in Longmont.
Contact me off list. If I'm available while you're here maybe we can do some
shop hopping together.
