Hello Simon

As i looked at your first picture of your mystery fish, i thought to
myself , looks like a female hongsloi.... as you mention it having
reddish coloration at times, i can only think that it sure does look
like my female hongslois that i have going right now.    As for being a
male hongsloi, i dont think the fish is a male but would say for sure
its a female.    My guess would be ........ Hongsloi!!!
