I usually place the traps near the fishes feeding area.I try to place it right in their swimming path.That sped things up for me,but sometime it takes forever to catch that one darn fish, though.

Silly males....

I like the idea, but my problem has always been that my fish are too stupid
to figure out that they can't go through the clear side of the bottle. It
takes them forever (if they ever get it) to find the opening of the bottle
and mosey on in.
