Hi, as an answer to your question let me quote Uwe Roemer, Cichlid Atlas: Maintenance and breeding of A. panduro are easy in comparison to other representatives of the A. nijsseni complex. Even medium-hard, neutral water suffices. However I never kept A.panduro. I currently have a pair of A. nijsseni. I keep them in a small aquarium, with a very soft and acidic water, with a leaf litter. They still did not spawn - this situation has been lasting for more than a month. The female presents in front the male trying to attract him, but the male seems not to be interested at all.
