It depends on which Pelvicachromis species you are trying to spawn. Pv.
pulcher, for example, produces 50/50 sex ratios at around neutral pH. At the
same pH Pv. sp. aff. pulcher (Giant Krib) will produce a 90/10 ratio. 50/50
occurs at ~pH 6.3. Other species have different ranges. The only place I recall
seeing recommended pH values for breeding the different Krib species is in:
Loiselle, P. V. 1980. African dwarf cichlids, the riverine species. Freshwater
& Marine Aquarium Magazine (FAMA) 3(10): 15-22, 85-86.
