badis

I got a spawn of the badis but didn't know it........I was cleaning out
their tank the other day and there were 5-6 small little fishes in
there.........they scatter eggs kinda like tetras and there you go.....the
babies are SSSMMMAAALLLLLLL!! The picture that I'm gonna send you to is
actually 2 pics put together as one photo.....the fish in the upper right is
really an insert picture......almost looks like it belongs doesn't it.
Allen gave me permission to use his photo for you guys to see the fish. The
fish on the left are 2 females with the male......Allen got 20-30 little fry
from his pair. Spawning......male sets up a nest of plants and the female
scatters the eggs and then she is outta there.......it seems the male is the
protector.........I haven't seen that myself........but Allen says he has
seen the male as the protector. Allen's a very good aquarist and I trust
his
judgment...........microseimens..........75...........ph........6.0......5
gallon tank with a ton of Java fern and moss and a lot of food live baby
brine and live daphnia and grindal worms as food........non-live was never
tried.........might could be used but was never tried just
because........;-)

....their size can be seen in the tank shot of 2 females and single
male........that's a 5 gallon tank they are in!!!!
