Archie, I just got a chance to look at your picture. Being a female it is kind of hard to ID from just 1 picture (or even 100). Still, I'll give it a try. I assume that it came in with wild A. cacatuoides, am I right? If so, it is most likely that it is Peruvian in origin. The photo shows that the caudal spot is rather tall and narrow, and there seems to be a pale area between the caudal spot and lateral band. These point to it being a member of the regani-complex of the regani-group. It also appears that it has 3 very faint abdominal stripes. If all of this is true, then it is a pretty good guess that it belongs to the only regani-complex form found in Peru. That would be A. sp. Masked/Masken (aka A. sp. Apache, A. sp. Carapintada (1 of 2 species), A. cruzi (wrong ID), A. regani (wrong ID), & A. sp. Peru (1 of many). This is a nice fish.
