I can answer that question too.... I always feed bbs to all my apistos
each day, regardless of size, offspring present in the tank or not.   My
adults go nuts for bbs each day... i also supplement my bbs feeding with
alternating feedings of frozen bloodworms, tetra bits ( oops color bits)
flake food and live foods when available.
