Hi Josh, I really think your male kribs are too young to be interested in spawning yet. Mine are usually about 2" before they show interest in the females. Females do actually start breeding at a smaller size than males usually do. I even had one of my pairs spawn in a community 100g tank, filled with tetras, barbs, and catfish of different types. I had 4 survive and have reached approx. 1" now :) The parents really look after the babies. Just for your information, my male is about 4" long and the female is about 3". Make sure you have lots of hiding/spawning spots for them. Teresa's suggestion of flower pots for spawning sites is what I use too. Good luck with your kribs, Lisa ----- Original Message ----- From: "Josh Restad" <josh.restad@poboxes.com> To: <apisto@listbox.com> Sent: Friday, September 13, 2002 7:53 PM Subject: Re: new to kribs > hey thanks for the reply. > almost right after I wrote that message one of the females really started to > get interested in finding a nesting spot.
