Re: new to kribs



Hi Josh,

    I really think your male kribs are too young to be interested in
spawning yet. Mine are usually about 2" before they show interest in the
females. Females do actually start breeding at a smaller size than males
usually do. I even had one of my pairs spawn in a community 100g tank,
filled with tetras, barbs, and catfish of different types. I had 4 survive
and have reached approx. 1" now :)  The parents really look after the
babies. Just for your information, my male is about 4" long and the female
is about 3". Make sure you have lots of hiding/spawning spots for them.
Teresa's suggestion of flower pots for spawning sites is what I use too.
