Eric,
 Najas rules! However, you need to acclimate it... probably why yours
crapped out. Get some more, toss it in a little bright tank with
whatever water it's used to, and start doing water changes with water
you've removed from the tank the plant will eventually go into... give
it a couple-three weeks, more if you're patient. I had me the best najas
farm in a soft, acidic tank...
