Perverse fish!

When I was in the UK over the New Year I managed to pick up some Pelvicachromis Taeniata "Keinke" for the first time (thanks Ray) and recently one of the females started to come into colour. There was, by this stage only one male as the other one had been killed, so I moved these two into a breeding tank next to my computer in my office, which has given me plenty of opportunities to study their behaviour in more depth than I might normally do.
Anyway, they had all the usual breeding tank stuff like a few plants, some pots, a piece of drift wood and coconut shells, but I'd also left a piece of slate in there from my previous Ram breeding. Well, instead of using the pots or cococnuts or whatever else, she's dug a hole under the piece of slate, it's quite wide and I don't think she'll dig too much and cause a cave-in but I don't want this to happen. The slate is about 6 inches wide by 4 inches deep and so far she's excavated about half the width of the slate (I don't know how far back sh'e gone but I suspect about an inch or so. I'm not keen on moving the slate as I don't want to disturb her, what do you guys think I should do?
I'll try and get some shots of them and then post them
C:-)lin

They said "Smile, things could be worse." So I smiled, and sure enough...
