Re: nice surprise



    They are quite ornery, at first when they were new they were not
much trouble.  As they became more accustomed and territorial, he became
very aggressive, that is when I put the leaves in for some cover.  After
they had they're little fun, mother chased him away, and she has kept
him at distance since then.

    I think he was defending his territory to impress her, and then
afterwards he has kept his distance peacefully.  I haven't observed the
male taking any roll in the care of the fry.
