I've used a Fluval, a Marineland Magnum and a "Classic" Eheim canister filter. The Eheim is by far the superior of the 3. I have an Eheim 2217 on a 150 gallon tank and have had no problems whatsoever. It is quiet and doesn't need much maintenance; highly recommended.
