Ray, Alf Stalsberg & Tonny Andersen collected & brought this form back to Europe in 1993 from small streams, including the Rio Montanita, south of Florencia, Colombia. It is a yellow & blue color form of A. sp. Rotpunkt, or something very closely related to it. Andersen has an article on it at: http://www.akvariebladet.dk/artikler/1995/Apistogramma_spec_Rotpunkt.html The article has a rather poor photo of the Montanita form. Better photos can be found in SAC II labeled as A. sp Red-point I (p. 66, S03935-3, 3d row down). In his new book, Koslowski calls it A. sp. Rotpunkt Ortegueza, for the Rio Ortegueza system of the Rio Caquetá where the fish originate. I didn't realize that this form still was present in the hobby.
