anytime ive ever kept any of this genus, its been in tanks without
plants...... so sorry i cant help you out on this one..... i have raised
young hemichromis fish in planted tanks without having them tear the
tank up..... never saw them eat the plants either... but ive never tried
spawning any pair in a tank with live plants in it.
