Hemichromis with Plants
Dear Jody,
When spawning, Hemichromis spp. will readily uproot plants situated in their
breeding territory. They usually dig depressions in the substrate and deposit
their larvae in them; but, on occasion, I have also seen them dig around a
plant and place their larvae on the exposed roots.
Good luck!
