It's a crustacean isn't it? :-)

I only know of sources here in Japan. There's even a stunning red
mutant called "Crystal Red" which is sold by mail order

There are photos and breeding info for normal and mutant types,
in Japanese and English.

Would apisto's eat them? Bee shrimp are pretty small (neon tetra size).
An adult cacatuoides or agassizii could probably bite one in half.
