It has been a while since I did mcmasteri, but I had 2 pairs in a 55G. The
dominant male spawned with and protected the females. As I recall, there was a
*lot* of baby swapping between the two broods. Both usually had broods at
about the same time, at opposite ends of the tank.
The non-dominant male found a way to suicide down an accidentally uncovered
lift tube. Recently I have an aggie female that has learned to hide in the
UGF. She is still small enough to survive, tho.
