A. pertensis

This past week I got a spawn of A. pertensis and now have wrigglers. The spawn
came hours after I conducted an 80% water change with all r/o. When I took
parameter readings I was surprised to see a pH of 4.4! Keep in mind that this is
very soft water, so while it is decisively acidic, it is very diluted. I believe
it would be a different story when hard tap water drops that low. Still, I can't
recall getting an Apisto spawn at this low of a pH. (Tetras and Rasbora, but not
Apistos.)
Also, yesterday I found Apistogrammoides eggs--finally. She still is guarding
about ten. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
