What does a agassizii really look like.
Hi folks.
Im kinda confused by the pictures floating around on the 'net as, as I
cant find any agassizii in any of the LFS I may have to order some. The
problem is this the LFS can order me apistogramma agassizii for A$5.70
each or apistogramma agassizii blue form for A$17.00 each. This is for
3.5 cm fish hence cant guarantee a pair so i may have to order four of
em and pray.
When i look at the picture of agassizii on CHOP
http://trans4.neep.wisc.edu/~gracy/fish/cichlids/apistogramma/agassizii/
its a sort of plainish yellowish fish and personally not very inspiring.
When I check out the picture at the incomprehensible japanese site
http://w5.dj.net.tw/~iris/a_agassizii.JPG i see a VERY different fish
under the same name and really rather gorgeous.
Dave Soares has a picture of a agassizii blue form
http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/Plains/7918/aggblue.gif which I am
assuming would be true to life.
Personally I dont want the yellowish one (fussy eh?) and am willing to
pay the $17/fish if i have to, however if i dont have to ..... i would
prefer not to :)
Thanks
Steph
