Hi everyone,

many apistos are polygamous. (Some seem to turn to get monogamous - or vice versa.)
In the polygamous species males don't need any drugs to spawn with any of many
females.

Females choose the strongest male (if there is only 1 male there is no choice - but
as much as i've learned especially about apistos they accepted this everytime
(keeping them in community tanks) maybe otherway if kept alone they might kill each
other).

I admit in case of the polygamous species it's more natural to breed 1 male and a
few females. But therefor is a lack of females sometimes you're lucky if get one
female.
