Randy and Dave.....I'll take the chance that apisto people will not mind
a short short about cardinals and neons.
I live in St Pete Florida, about 10 miles from Tampa Fl.....The Tampa
Bay area is the largest concentration of fish farms in the world....Eke
Will, 5-D, Ross Socoloff's place to drop a few names. The point. In
our fish club, the Tampa Bay Aquarium Society we have ohhhh 8-9 people
who work every day at the farms and several who own farms. I speak with
these folks 5-6 times a week....they are among my best friends (I
think?). Quote from them: "...fully half of the world's cardinals and
neons are coming out of Germany and have been for the last 6-8 years."
Folks....the German aquarists have picked our pocket again.....;-)
That's really the truth.....I didn't believe it till 3 different people
all told the same story. There's tricks to the spawning and raising of
the fry.....dealing with light!
Have a good day!
Mike
