I can't really comment about how many times this fish will spawn
compared to other dwarfs.  I keep mine crowded and don't really keep
track of which fish is spawning or remove the fry.  I agree with your
other comments though.  As far as sensitivity to water changes,  usually
there is no problem but occasionally a water change will kill off a
number of fish.
