I use a company called Consolidated Plastics to buy bags and tape for my business. They are a packaging and shipping supplier. I don't see foam sheets in the catalog but they might know where to get it. Their phone number is 800-363-1000. Also a thought is the foam they sell in sewing shops like Joann's fabric. They use it for pillows and upholstering and things. That's where I buy filter floss ( polyester fiberfill ) in 1 LB bags for about $ 3.50. They also have quilt bating ( also polyester ) that can be cut and wrapped for cartridge filters. I am only having trouble with plant roots getting entangled in the plate. Some of my computer components come with protective sheets of the same sponge material that sponge filters use. Anyone know where I can get a sheet of this stuff to cover my filter plates? I've looked all over town, and since I don't know the actual technical or trade name for the stuff, a web search is pretty unrewarding.
