Just to add to this,  Depending on where you are in the lower mainland 
(how far along the system) you may not even have to remove the chlorine.  
We have so little in there to begin with, copper is more of a concern 
than anything.

in the coming years (2002) the ph will be knocked up to around 8.0 by a 
buffering technique... I have the whole report somewhere.
