Artificial rearing
I think that the "ideal" would be to let the parents care for the fry, but
there are valid reasons to take the eggs/fry.
I agree with Big John that when raising fish to sell as a way to support
your hobby it's ok to intervene.
Some fish just will not raise their young. I don't see this as a black and
white situation.
