The U shape is where my friend has clear tubing that attaches to a piece
of pvc pipe hooked to a 90 degree elbow to a small length of pvc to
another 90 elbow to another length of pvc.   this makes up the U shape
and he just hangs it on the tank and lets the pump do the draining of
filling  whichever he's doing at the moment.   It works great.  He use's
this instead of a python because of metered water.
