John has this exactly right.   For low conductivity fishes you need RO and
that costs.   The extra water is NOT wasted, it can be used for flushing,
clothes washing, showering and gardening.  But you do need an RO unit.
These cost $100-200.  If you skip the unit you will not breed the sensitive
fish.     Dave
