uS/mS difference?
Hi all,
I was hoping that someone out there could help me here:)
I recently went looking for a P.h meter,in my mind was the American
marine pinpoint meter.I decided that I was going to check the market
place for price and different companies,I came up with the Hanna
pH/ec/tds meter for only 35 canadian dollars more than the pinpoint
model,so I figured what the hey and now own one :)
Sorry but I can't find the correct symbol here,but what is the
difference between uS and mS? Are they just different ranges of
microsiemens?
The model I purchased is the Hanna HI 9813,the range is from 0.00- 4.00
in mS/cm There is another model Hanna HI 9812 whose range is from 0-
1990 in uS/cm.
Both models convert EC into ppm. Is the HI 9813 too low range for our
fishkeeping purposes?
Also I'm sure that I've read somewhere that there is a correlation
between microsiemens and dh,is there a fomula for conversion?
As for the pH. part of of this toy whohooo no more drops!!
Any info here would be appreciated :)
