I would like to add two more contacts in addition to Julio's. Dr. Nevin Aspinwall (aspinwalln@aol.com) and Tomas Hrbek (hrbek@biodec.wustl.edu"), both from Washington University in St. Louis, MO. Both have done extensive genetic research with killifish. Tomas has a paper due soon that may point to reorganization of Rivulus. Dr. Aspinwall has just returned from a four month "sabbatical" in Cameroon where he was working on the relationships of similar species of Aphyosemions. As these and a few other notable folks, like Dr. Thomerson at University of Illinois, (who just came to mind but I don't have his email address) have already been working with killies, I'd double Julio's encouragement on working with Apistos. The field is wide open as I have not heard of anyone addressing the interesting and beautiful cichlids.
