Re: Removing fry

Uneekwa,

Since they're in a community tank right now, the easiest way is to siphon them
from their cave an hour or so after the lights go out. Mom usually herds them
into a cave at night. This only works for the first few weeks. After that many
schools of fry start wandering off on their own and don't stay together. If this
is the case now, then your only recourse is to tear down the tank to get at them
- I'm certain you don't want to do that. Of course, the easiest way is to breed
your fish in a breeding tank instead of a community set up - no predators to
worry about. Good luck.
