RE: Moving soon to fishroom

I don't have anywhere near the number of tanks that you have but the RO
route makes things easy in my opinion. I go through about 100 to 120
gallons of water a week in water changes. All of it is from my RO unit.
With my setup I purchased a unit (Spectrapure CSP - 80) that produced 80
gallons a day. It's setup right next to a sink in the basement and fills up
a 50 gal. Rubbermaid heavy duty trash can. I use a float valve so that the
unit shuts off automatically when the can is full. The water is heated and
mixed to flavor in the can using an air stone for circulation. I then have
a utility pump to pump the water through 60 feet of acrylic hose upstairs to
my tanks.

I went with the larger RO unit because the price difference for a smaller
unit was small in comparison to someday having to replace it because it
doesn't produce enough water. I've been happy with my Spectrapure and would
recommend it to anyone. When buying a Spectrapure, however, I would
mail-order directly from them because I haven't been able to find a dealer
that sells for less.

Hope this helps!
